Professionals of the Cinque Terre National Park would like to tell you about the history of the area, centuries of hard work as well as the traditional products, so they have established several museums in the villages.

Monterosso

Centro di salagione delle acciughe – Anchovy salting center

You can learn everything about anchovies and how they get from the sea to your plate. You can also do some tasting and buy a bottle or two. When I visited the center, they had a black and white film on DVD, which showed life in the Cinque Terre in the 1940s. Very interesting, so worth having a look!
