The 6th episode of our video series was made in Volastra. We visited the wine cellar of Luciano Capellini and his vineyard. From his cultivated terraces, we could enjoy a breathtaking panorama of Manarola, the sea and the entire Cinque Terre coastline. What an amazing location to spend your workdays!
Luciano has been making wine since 1995, his cellar is still quite small. They only produce about 8,000 bottles of Cinque Terre DOC and 800 bottles of Sciacchetrá a year so the quantity is small but the quality is high. They also make Vin de gussa which is like a marriage between the white wine and the Sciacchetrá. Luciano was away so we were greeted by his colleague Carlo.
