This is another great option for learning about pesto in Manarola. The place is located in the high part of the village, close to the parking area. Mariza is a chef, so besides sharing the secrets of pesto with you, she can also tell you what else to taste during your stay in the Cinque Terre.
Mariza will tell you about the history of pesto, show you the ingredients and teach you to make pesto in a mortar, the traditional way. Once your pesto is ready, you can taste it on some delicious focaccia, hand made by the chef, together with a glass of Cinque Terre wine.
Price includes: pesto class with mortar, pesto tasting on focaccia and a glass of Cinque Terre wine.
Please note that a private pesto class is available in Riomaggiore. It takes place in an apartment, so it's a really authentic experience. This program is only on request, so for availability and prices please send me an e-mail.
